These were disappointing, because I normally wear an 8.5, but the EU 39 (8.5-9) were so small that I could not even put my foot into them! Plus, for the price they are selling them, I expected the workmanship to be a little more nicer. Not worth the price, in my opinion, and if you still must buy them, make sure you get an entire size LARGER than you normally wear.

I'm not quite sure what I will wear these with, but I mostly wear skinny jeans. They look good with the skinny jeans barely tucked in (since these are short, a true bootie style). They're amazingly comfortable and that's important to me. I may be young, but I have bad arthritis, and these fit wonderfully. I bought the black leather. I am asking for the bronze for Christmas! I usually wear an 8, but I have very narrow feet so I always buy a 7.5 in Nine West brand. Perfect fit with athletic socks (what I was wearing when I tried them on after receiving them in the mail). I know they will fit perfect with boot socks or tights, too. Great buy!

Having bad feet that always hurt, I decided to try Clark boots. They are fabulous and comfortable but light brown is not grey. I really wanted a grey boot and was excited there was that color option in this style. The picture on line even looks grey. When I opened the box, I thought they made a mistake. Apparently their grey looks like a light brown, not what I wanted, grey is grey. Will probably just return and get black since this color won't match much at all.

I bought these to wear as driving & errand-running shoes, not house slippers. I am so thrilled the shoe designers included a driver's heel! I really like it as a style element, but it is extremely functional, keeping the leather heels from becoming dirty or damaged.
These look so amazing with skinny jeans, but if you unfold them, they also work with bootcut.
I wear a size 8 in any style of shoe, so with shearling boots & slippers, I usually buy a 7 so they will stretch over time. Because other reviewers said these run small, I decided to buy the size 8. With bare feet they are still pretty snug, which is PERFECT! With wear the fleece will begin to form to my feet, & the leather will stretch a bit. I believe that like most shearling slippers & boots, after about a year of constant wear, they will be better suited to wear with socks. These are extremely well made, so I expect these to last at least 2 years with constant wear before they become strictly house slippers.
The black leather is a deep, true black, which is a beautiful contrast to the light, cream coloured fleece. Normally, I would have preferred the lace to match the leather, but I actually kind of like the rustic, moccasin-look of the deep brown lace. I'm waiting for the grey to go on sale before I buy those, too!
Like other reviewers have stated, there is no padded insole. I agree this is a bummer, but I have been unable to find a pair of slippers or "Ugg-style" boots that have adequate arch support. My solution is to wait until the shearling footbed liner is old enough to be removed, add whatever padded insole I need & place a new shearling footbed liner on top of the insole. For light, cushy padding, I really like Dr. Scholl's Tri-Comfort Orthotics Inserts, Women's Size 6-10, 1-Pair Packages (Pack of 3) & for firm, all-day support these can't be beat Walkfit Platinum Orthotics- Size D (W 8- 8.5/M 7-7.5)
The liners are cheap & can be replaced as needed Pedag 112 Alaska Genuine Lamb's Wool Insole with Anti-Slip Latex, Women's 8
I have extremely "tender feet" that always seem to hurt (thanks to all those years waiting tables) so if my footwear is loose enough, I actually stack the Dr. Sholl's on top of the Walkfits. I hope this helps anyone who has similar foot problems.

When I first ordered these shoes from Amazon, I was a bit wary of what I would get for two main reasons:

1) I had seen the shoes but had not tried them on in my size at a store, so I was worried about how the sizing would turn out from ordering them online.
2) As this is my first experience with Doc Martens, I had read online reviews of Docs where people had mentioned the Docs had really hurt their feet until they had gotten the shoes broken in properly.

But when I got the product, I was thoroughly surprised. The sizing basically ran like usual (at least in my case, going down a size would not have worked) and so the shoes fit well. Not only that, but the shoes were at first surprisingly comfortable. I wore them for a 9 hour period without any blistering or pain involved.

All in all, I'm very pleased with my new Docs. I'll definitely be wearing them loads more now. They look exactly as shown on Amazon and they came in when the seller said they would, and I'm just generally happy with the product. Would recommend.
