Most comfortable boot I ever wore. I went out with my son's Scout Troop and logged 45 miles in 4 days at the Gorham Scout Ranch. Never had a blister or bad day on my feet. I rate them better than Red Wing, Wolverine, Ariat and haven't found a boot to rival the comfort after a ten hour work day or a 14 hour day at a scout ranch. Over terrain or up and down ladders its a great boot.

I normally wear a 9.5D, good fit as a 9.5M, comfy for a new boot with a removable rubber type foot pad insert, but still stiff as a new boot should be. My favorite boots took a while for the leather to break in and these seem to fit that patern. I really like the quick lace eyelets that go down farther than most boots, as it makes it easy to get the boots on and off. I plan on buying another pair, as whatever I like, seems to be phased out soon after. Has an aggressive tread, quality looking leather, and seems to be well made after wearing for a few weeks. I have had plenty of import boots die a quick death unlike USA made boots. Buying made in the USA has been a better value than buying import junk. I expect these to last awhile under bad conditions.

I LOVE these boots! (So much that, after a few days I ordered another pair in brown!...they'll both take me into March or April!) Super comfortable & supporting...I actually got them NOT for the toning aspect, but because this type of shoe is "foot ergonomic"...no flat-foot feeling as you walk. They're great.

Here's the note on sizing: when I buy shoes, the perfect fit for me is usually 7.5 WIDE...but I'll buy 8's because they fit me wide enough, and depending on the style, the extra bit of toe area doesn't bother me. I have regular width size 10 (43 European) for all my shoes. This is such a dependable and standard size that I can order shoes on-line with out fear of a problem. I don't have high arches or flat feet. My feet size is really normal. Both my feet are similar and have never had a problem until this order. I expected the boots to be on the small side because without laces they could fall off unless they started off a little tight. Well they are very tight out of the box and I really struggled to get the right foot in the boot to the point that the right boot really hurt the top of my right foot.

I decided to keep them in the hopes that they will break in and feel more comfortable after a few weeks. I think they will break in after wearing them about 10 times for an hour or 2 each time they are loosening up a little.. I am glad that they are on the tight side because I think time will fix that and I am willing to go through the break-in period. Loose Inghams would flop around too much for me.

I use them to cut wood. I cut about 6-8 cord per year and need steel toes for that job. Also it's much easier to keep the saw dust and chips out with this boot as my jeans go well over the tops. These boots are perfect for that use, the sole is comfortable and I expect they will break in just fine given a little more time.

after ordering and returning many different boots this is finally the perfect fit! i wanted a boot that zipped for easy access and yet still held my foot well enough to navigate a steep driveway in the ice and snow. this fits the bill. i also tried the centerline privo by clarks but the molded rubber footbed was too narrow, the boot was difficult to slip into at the ankle and the zipper was stiff and fussy. not so with these boots. the molded rubber footbed fits my size 8 medium width foot perfectly and feels true to size. i normally replace all my insoles with nice orthotic ones but the insoles on these boots have good arch support. these are super easy to slip in and out of plus there is a gusset behind the zipper so the snow won't leak through into the boot. the leather is high quality and these are beautifully made. they actually look and feel higher quality than the privo boot. these have a better tread as well and although i was originally looking at hiking boots with chunky vibram soles these do have some grip and are nimble enough that i can wear them around town without feeling clumsy. thanks to amazon for free shipping and super fast delivery!!!
