I have been in the Army awhile now, and I have tried many boots. The problem that I was having was that my feet would end up hurting over time, or they would just feel worn out. After I tried this boot all my problems vanished. These boots are very comfortable, in fact, they were better than my running shoes, and they are an enjoy to wear. The only down side to these boots is that they are not waterproof, but because of how comfortable and light these boots are I feel that they are very deserving of a five-star rating.

After a year and a half of wearing these everyday I finally had to buy another pair as my old ones were worn out.

This is my second pair of these boots, I love them. Had worn Sorel's for years but only problem was that they were too clunky. These are sleek boots and very warm. Can be worn for trekking in the snow or out on the town. WATCH THE SIZING - I only ordered the right size because I already owned a pair. I typically wear a 10.5 shoe or a 43 EU. These are 44EU/12.5-13 US and they are a little snug.

I have problematic feet- wide, very high arch, plantar fasciitis - and these boots were wonderful the FIRST time I wore them. They have a wonderfully cushioned foot bed, very flexible and stylish. These shoes are indeed very comfortable but definately not worth the $100.00 they are being sold for. The sole gets stained and dirty very quickly. Even worst the fabric/nubuck gets stretched out and raggedy looking within 2-3 months of constant wear. Nice shoes but the initial beautiful appearance does no hold up very long. Within a year you will be tossing them out simply because they look so bad.

I have another pair of Steve Madden boots that I've been wearing for about 4 years straight, and the time has to come that they need to be replaced. These looked very similar, so I ordered the same size that I already have. The color is very nice (just as I expected), and I like the simple design with the button on the side, but as other reviewers have noted, the calves are just HUGE. My other ones are a little baggy, but these just looked ridiculous. I even let a friend with bigger calves try them on, and the ankles were just as slouchy on her. Needless to say, I'm sad they didn't work out, but they're going back.

These are my first pair of non-hiking boots, so I don't have an enormous amount of experience, but I did try on many boots before settling on these. Here's why I got these:

-Narrow size options. I'm really something like a 12 1/2 C, but 13 B is OK. This boot fit better than any other I tried on. But your foot is definitely not my foot, even if it's similar.
-Leather soles, i.e. "real" boots, although I think the shank is plastic and non-traditional.
-Made in the USA. Some Justins are made overseas, but this particular style is made in the USA. "Handmade," whatever that means. Also, the company is owned by Warren Buffet... which is a good conversation topic.
-Looks fine. I had the shoemaker put the non-skid sole protector on and dye the stitching on the tops black, and the boot looks quite nice.

I'm still breaking them in, so I can't speak to their long-term durability and comfort. But these are leather-soled shoes, so they should break in well. Some other brands felt more plasticky, others more solid and cost accordingly, but these seem fine. We'll see how they do over time, but for now I am very satisfied.
