I've owned these shoes for a little over a year. I feel I've worn them long enough to actually write a review. I'm very skeptical of people who leave reviews after a few days or a couple of weeks of using a product.
While living on the front range in Colorado I went into a small outfitters store in Idaho Springs, this is when I first learned of Oboz. Now I've wore all the big names of boots and shoes when it comes to an outdoor type footwear. I was big on Merrell shoes and had worn them for nearly a decade, but in the last few years I had noticed that their quality was going down hill. I expressed my concern of buying another pair of Merrill's to the shop owner, he said "I don't even sell Merrells". "Let me show you something you'll really like".

When he handed me the Oboz shoe I was impressed with the style. The shoe felt rigid, but not too stiff. He said "these are the shoes you can climb a 14er during the day, then put on a pair of nice jeans and wear them to dinner". I said "l'll take a pair, and I'll put the to the test".
Over the next several months I've climbed three 14ers wearing these shoes, and I've worn them for everyday wear. I've cleaned them twice in the last year, and when they're clean they look as good as they did when they were brand new.
The shoe is great and the quality is unmatched. There's not a single Irish pennant in the stitching. Where there is glue, there is zero separation. I have upgraded the insoles with a set of super feet insoles, and they are just as comfy as when I bought them.
I highly recommend this shoe to anyone who's looking for such a shoe. You will not be disappointed.
