There is NOTHING WRONG with these boots. First of all...when it comes to looks, I was quite surprised. The color of the Black/Deep sea boot was actually prettier in person than what it looked on line. Online, (and maybe its just my computer) the blue color looks like a baby blue. IN reality, though, its aqua. Like a really pretty (almost) emerald GREEN. And one of the things that I LOVE LOVE LOVE about the Keens (all Keens, not just the women's Hoodoo boots) is that they have very ROUNDED toes. If your feet are like mine, you will LOVE them. See, I have what I would consider "duck" feet. Meaning...I am narrow in the middle, and my toes are wider. It may be all the years of wearing sandals when living in Hawaii...but I find that my toes are really spread out and nearly all womens dress shoes that come to a point, or any athletic shoes that narrow in at the toes also HURT me. NOT the Keens. They are awesome. There is no toe pinching there! Also...I don't know if its just me or not, but it may be that the boot runs a little large. Perhaps it's because the toes are so rounded, it seems that your feet don't need to size up. There's plenty of natural room for the foot, so I suggest that you measure your feet on the KEEN website and take a look at their chart to figure what you need. And don't do what I did. When I measured, I tried to take the boot into consideration and gave myself more space for wool socks and what not. Don't do that. JUST go by the EXACT measurement of your foot and go accordingly. THEY seem to take the rest into consideration. Because I had to return my boot. I originally ordered a 9 and I had to exchange them for an 8.5. My exact foot measurement from the toe to heel (barefoot) fell into the 8-8.5 category. So, I ordered a 9 to take extra "packaging room" into consideration, and that was a mistake because it was too big. So measure your foot (bare) standing with full weight on it and then see where that falls on the size chart and don't SIZE up. JUST order whatever size your bare foot is, and TRUST me. It will be perfect. That's the best advice I can offer. One other thing about this boot is that it is very stiff through the ankle, so that came as a wonderful surprise as well, because I felt well supported. Almost like I could take that boot on a hike! It's meant for snow, not hiking, but it's constructed so well, that you actually COULD use it for hiking. Especially if there are wet conditions, or what not. And I love that it's tall! Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "KEEN Women's Hoodoo Waterproof Faux Shearling Winter Boot,Slate Black/Grape Nectar,6.5 M US" are high quality item.
