I ride a harley and was not impressed with H-D boots. Searched and read many reviews. I settled on the tahoe. I read Bates has a very good reputation so i thought i would give them a try. Very solid feeling and well made boot. Took 3 days to break in...but are now very comfortable. I added some leather conditioner to help with break in time.The best part of the boot is the long ykk zippers. They make putting them on and especially taking them off after a very long day VERY easy. No more pulling with all your might trying to take boots off after your feet are tired and swollen from hard work. Also easy to take off quickly at airport security...If you are looking for a very cool looking, tough, great traction (vibram) and well made boot, try the Bates Tahoe.
NOTE ON SIZE: I ordered my NORMAL shoe size and they fit well. No need to buy .5 size larger. I am a 2E wide on running shoes, but these boots in width D fit very well. Once broken in, they loosen up a bit. So I added a dr shols insert and i wear thick wool boot socks. Perfect fit.
