Each year I go through the frustrating process of trying to find a winter boot with good arch support, that fits my wide, fussy foot. I also needed a boot that is both comfortable for long winter walks, keeps my feet warm during football games and looks cute. Finally, success! This boot fit perfectly out of the box. It is wide in the toe box, but narrow enough in the heel there is no slippage. The combination of the laces and zipper is genius. You can adjust the laces to customize the boot to fit your foot and then use the zipper for easy on and off. Perfect for football games, walks in the snowy foothills, and secure footing on icy city sidewalks. I normally wear an 8 in hiking boots and that is what I ordered. Some reviews indicate that the boot runs big, but perhaps that may refer more to the width than the length, as it fit me perfectly. I think I would even have room for a thicker sock if I needed it. This is not a dressy boot, but it looks cute (in a casual, practical way) with jeans and cords. No blisters, no rubbing, no sweaty feet, no plantar faciitis or other foot problems, what's not to like? Amazon got the boot here quickly - just in time to give it a real test it during a snow storm, deep freeze, ice storm and trip to the mountains. My problem feet give it a big thumbs up and smile.
