I saw the one lonely and negative review but wanted to remark I have purchased 2 pairs of these wonderfully comfy and stylish boots and they are well worth the $$. Born is notoriously high end and the Riven is both softer looking cowboy boot (for women) but still is street rugged and again, super comfortable and supportive. I don't mind the cut-out in the back ankle even though I thought I might. The "Plug" AKA "Plum" or dark purple pair are just beautiful--I mean wow!! Very hard to find this color. The black ones are classy and classic. I have always worn a 7 1/2 in most boot sizes while sporting a 7/2-- 8 in most shoe sizes. These Borns are true to my size differential if that helps people figure out sizing.
